Borini's goal celebration explained

Roma striker Fabio Borini looks set to join Liverpool football club. Reports suggest he could be the first signing made by new manager Brendan Rodgers who has managed him twice before.

A sight we'll hopefully be getting used to seeing is his trademark goal celebration.

The 'knife between the teeth' celebration is something the Swansea fans at the Liberty stadium became very familiar with. Following his debut game against Nottingham Forest, in which he scored 2 goals, Borini explained what the celebration meant:

"I've been planning that celebration for a long time. In Italy it means you've got the knife between your teeth. When you want to achieve something so badly that you are angry to reach your goals, you put the knife between your teeth. That's what I was trying to show by putting the side of my hand in my mouth."

The meaning says it all about his desire to succeed.

Fans will no doubt be hoping to see such images (as above) of Borini in Liverpool colours.
